    Story

    This is Frankie!

Frankie is a sweet, lovable little boy who currently spends most of his days sleeping under the couch (he loves crawling under beds and into small spaces) and just hanging out with you or chewing on his toys, but he isn’t much of a cuddler. He very much prefers to be laying at your feet or beside you than to be in your lap, and he makes it fairly obvious. Frankie is a very vocal communicator, and is always making little noises to tell you how he’s feeling. He is a gentle and clumsy boy who has not quite mastered balance yet and sometimes has mannerisms like a rag doll, falling everywhere he goes and flopping about. It’s quite adorable. He will need to grow into his big paws.

Frankie has had good interactions with dogs but has not been tested with kids or other animals. He has really impressed us from the first day we got him with his fantastic and consistent use of his pee pads. We have never had a puppy use them so well at this age. Sometimes he can miss the pad but we attribute this to his undeveloped spacial awareness and clumsiness at this point. We sill feel he is doing great for his age and we think he is a very smart pup. He is quite good at playing on his own when you are too busy and really does not get into much trouble. He is somewhat low maintenance that way, however he does like to take shoes occasionally and bite laces or cords for attention so his adoptive family will have to remain aware of this. He is in his play biting stage but is quickly learning to be gentle. Frankie is also currently eating beef and rice and will need help finding a diet that sits well in his tummy and to transition slowly to the new foods because he does have a very sensitive tummy. He can be a little fearful of things at times but just needs to be shown that things are not scary, because everything is so new to him. He really is a big, gentle, lovable suck of a puppy who will show you unconditional love and make a great companion for years to come.
