Sage came into our world just a tiny little puff of black curls, with beautiful dark brown eyes and long sweeping lashes. So cute!! She had to deal with an older cat who doesn’t much care about any other animals, a bossy male cat and then there was the five month old foster boy cat that would soon become her very best friend. She also had the good fortune of hanging out with another foster family for visits that had four kittens, four cats and two very large dogs. She held her own throughout it all and found her and their boundaries. Such a smart little girl! She is so trusting and loving of all sizes of people, kissing and cuddling, with her little yelps of joy during play time.
She is still in the teething stage, though growing out of it. So she loves her chew toys but can get distracted by a swishing pant leg to latch onto or the edge of sheets and towels to pull down or hang off of. Though with a stern voice telling her to stop she is catching on quickly. Getting better all the time with her bathroom duties. Is good staying in her kennel as long as she has food and toys near by.
Huck, our little black cat foster, and Sage will wrestle for hours. They sleep together, eat together and just hang out chilling together. They are such a cute couple. Watching them play as hard as they do most times, it is hard to remember that little Sage has a health issue. We cherish every minute with our little Sage, she has such a big heart loving us so very much at every chance she has. Reminding us to not take full advantage of the times we get to share. She is a little angel and we would like to see her stay for a very long time!! Her surgery is coming up soon and we will keep our prayers and fingers crossed and hope you might send good wishes her way too. We have faith in the AARCS Vet Team and that makes it a lot easier!
Little Sage was surrendered when the owner found out that she had the liver shunt.
