Hi I’m Polar! I’ve had a pretty RUFF start in life but am so much happier now and am loving all the new people I meet and new things I’ve discovered.
Things weren’t always easy for me. I was brought into AARCS the end of July as I was hit by a car. I was pregnant at the time and lost my babies due to the trauma, I also had two fractured femurs. I was pretty sad when I went to my new foster home, but happy to meet my new foster fur brother (even though he is old and grumpy, he still puts up with me). I was terrified of my kennel at first and would go limp on the floor, my foster mom would have to drag me into my kennel. She is pretty tricky though and has convinced me it’s not that bad after all, she covers my kennel with a sheet and closes the curtains during the day (makes me feel safer). I also get a Kong with dog food inside that has been frozen, when I see her bring out my breakfast kong in the morning I go running to my kennel and wait inside now. It keeps me busy for a long time while my foster mom is at work. I am working on this housebreaking thing and am getting pretty good at it. I sometimes have accidents at night but I use a pee pad. I am good about going outside but prefer if someone comes with me, either my foster fur brother or my foster mom. I LOVE stuffies! I love when my foster mom brings me a new stuffie, they are so fun to take all the stuffing out. My foster mom picks up all the stuffing for me so I make sure I take out more to keep her busy. I have lots of stuffies that have no stuffing left but their still fun to play with. I love camping, picking up sticks and chasing squirrels. I can’t wait to find my forever home!

Doesn’t like long periods of time in Kennel. She is good up to 4 hours, then out for a pee break and is good for another 4 hours.
