Introducing Bo, or BoBo as my Foster Family calls me. I am one BIG Boy (and I have lost some weight at my Fosters Parent), but my size just means I have a lot more of me that can love you. And I really love MY people! I truly like expanding MY circle of people, just please don’t rush me. I am feeling like a new boy after my TPLO surgeries and can show my Love even more now that I am not in pain. My tail & bum can really wiggle.

I am a very sensitive boy and pretty low energy. Now that I am feeling better I am able to get happy and show it. I love to be with my family just laying by their feet or near the dinner table. I am a gentle boy and when I take a treat from your hand you will be so impressed at how I can be a gentle giant. I do have a pretty clear and loud bark, just so that you are aware that someone is coming to the house. I do know what is going on in and around my domain. When people first arrive inside I have a loud bark and can get a bit nervous but let me come to you and in a matter of minutes I am full of kisses. I do best in a calm environment and when my world is Zen, you hardly know I am around. I love walks like all dogs and get mildly excited for about 5 minutes then I have settled in and walk side by side. I dream of the day, after I am fully recovered that I can have long walks with MY people. I really do communicate with the people I love, and you will soon see how my beautiful smile and happy tail wags tell you that I just love MY people. My forever home would be best with no little kids, older kids would be fine, just need to keep my environment calm. I am not interested in being in a crate, I am a very big boy. But if you leave me on my bed or on the carpet I will stay there for hours. I am totally house trained so no worries about accidents. I love to just listen to people talk and get their love. Another calm dog in the home, maybe okay after proper introduction. As long as I was not rushed into things. My Foster Mom, has learnt how I communicate because I do express how I am feeling. Oh ya, I do not jump on people or jump up on furniture so that can be a real positive. I am a real loving, sensitive soul that would complete a quiet home. I am a very smart boy and listen to commands and want to please you. Please do not scold me or correct me loudly, I am sensitive.

Beautiful Big Bo – I am a big boy with a soft loving heart

      Good with Dogs?
Bo needs his time to warm up. His spine hairs (hence why I think he has Ridgeback in him) will rise up. He may bark and growl but within a couple of minutes he is accepting. High energy/hyper or aggressive dogs Bo will growl and immediately try and get away from the situation. Bo has been tested with Large & small and old and young breeds.

      Good with Kids?
Bo has been only tested with my 3 year old nephew and Bo was fantastic!! Bo would not accept any treats from my nephews hands. I do feel Bo would be best with calm kids so older may be best.

Does this Animal have Special Needs?
      Yes, Medical Needs

Bo had his 2nd TPLO Surgery on October 25 and is recovery well and uses both his legs and is fully weight-bearing on both hind legs. His skin condition has responded nicely to medication.
