Gretel is a lovely, sweet, wonderful girl. While she can be a bit shy at first, she is quick to warm up to new people if you have a cookie and a little patience! She is in a foster home with 2 dogs and cats, and gets along wonderfully with everyone. She gains a lot of confidence from having a dog friend, and would love to find a home with another dog. Gretel enjoys playing with other dogs, although she is very gentle in her play behaviour. She is a moderate activity level and walks well on leash, although she is a little nervous in new situations and around noise and traffic. Gretel also has some extra toes on her hind feet, which make her look very unique! Her house-training is so far perfect, and she is very well behaved in the house. Gretel has a lot of of love to give and her favourite activity is hanging out with her human friends and asking for more head scratches! She is excited to find a new adoptive family to bond with and promises to be a best friend and loyal companion!
Gretel was surrendered to AARCS after she obtained a leg injury and her family was unable to care for her. She came from a loving family where she lived with dogs, kids and a cat. Her injury has healed up well and she is now ready to find a special, loving new home.
