Meet Princess Poppy; ready to steal your heart!
Princess Poppy is guessed to be a roughly 5 month old Shepherd mix, and was rescued off a reserve in early March.
This little girl was in pretty rough shape, too skinny for a puppy her size, half bald and what her rescuers thought to be mange. Luckily it turned out to be ‘just’ a bad skin infection, and Poppy has made a beautiful recovery with veterinary treatment, regular medicated baths, plenty of good food and lots of love, hugs, and play time.
This little babe loves attention, wanting to meet anyone she sees. Some of her favourites include chewing on toys, chasing bunnies in the field or running through the house like a wild one, cuddles, and sleeping on anything soft and cozy. She’s extremely smart, and willing to learn, but being a youngster, she will do best with someone willing to continue her training. She knows “sit”, “no”, “leave it”, and “come” as any toddler should ;), and is learning some street side manners as well. Poppy is pretty perfect with her house and crate training; although she doesn’t like being left alone. She’s not afraid to tell you all about how she feels about that.
