  • Story

Hello! My name is Munch! I am a very sweet and easygoing girl who is looking for her furever home. I really enjoy belly rubs and will park myself next to anyone who will pet me. My foster parents say that I am so lovable! I welcome hugs, kisses and cuddling.

I recently had my tail amputated, so my foster mom has been making me wear a big plastic hat that really gets in the way! I can’t go very far without banging into something but at least my tail feels better! Soon it will be all healed and I won’t have to wear the weird hat.

On cool days I love to sit out on the porch and stare off into the neighborhood, while the snow falls. I never seem to want to come inside! I also really enjoy lying outside in the sun while keeping my ears open for any squirrels who may try to enter the yard. If I see one, I will chase it away and then go back to lounging on the porch. Overall I am a very quiet and well-mannered girl. I can sit, stay, lie down on command and right now I am working on giving my paw. I love to go for walks and would make a great hiking partner! When I am out walking I do tend to pull, especially if I see a rabbit or some dogs that I want to meet. On the one hand, I have quite a bit of energy to burn. I would love to be able to run outside, play fetch and go for daily walks with my future family! On the other hand, when I am home, I am generally pretty calm and like taking naps in my bed next to that special someone.

I do enjoy the company of other dogs, although, I prefer if they let me do the sniffing. Sometimes if they enter my space or go near my food I will growl and show them my teeth because I really want my boundaries the be respected. I am pretty new when it comes to cats. When I first met the two at my foster home, I was really curious and wanted to chase them, but now I don’t really care. Sometimes I will stick my head in their cat tree house to say hello, but they don’t seem to like that so I just leave.

If you are looking for a kind, gentle, playful and loving pup with quite the personality, then I could be the dog for you!

Good with dogs, seems to prefer larger breeds. May get a little defensive if they are too pushy or approach her food.
