  • Story

“I am the sweetest boy you have ever met. I love my humans.

I have had a rough start as some of my AARCS’ brothers and sisters. My foster parents say that once you get to know me, you can’t not love me.

Yes, I sometimes look or behave not like a typical cat but I can’t help it. I don’t know what’s wrong with me as sometimes my muscles randomly twitch but we are testing different kinds of medication and it is helping me a lot. This condition doesn’t impact my life. I still do everything a cat does and get into trouble as per protocol. It takes some time to adjust to my quirkiness but once you understand what is happening and what you can do to help, I am like any other cat.

I love my people. I follow them anywhere they go and I care only to be around them. I love petting, kisses on the forehead, and laps. My foster parents call me Sling Blade as I am a big boy and when I talk, I sound like a main character from the movie.

I get along with other cats but I do not care for them, as I said, I love my people. I do well with older kids and, as long as they understand my condition, I love them to pieces.

It would be nice to have a quiet low energy home as it seems that certain loud noises and sudden movements might trigger one of my episodes. However, I am okay with the little black iRobot buzzing around me cleaning the floor and I am adjusting well to movie nights in the media room with speakers that surround me.

I just need that special person who will love me the way I am.”
