Super mellow, cuddle bug in a smaller black lab package. While I’m happy to play with my buddies, I really like hanging out near my people…or maybe ON my people if you’ll let me!
Otis came in with a large group of surrenders in mid-February of 2017 and was guessed to be about 7 months old. He was a bit shy to begin with, but is quickly gaining confidence hanging out with the resident dogs. He quickly fell for his two resident foster sisters who have a similar low-mid energy level and over some time and slower introductions is becoming good buddies with the latest high-energy foster brother addition. He still needs his breaks from the other young male, but has decided that wrestling with him CAN be fun…as long as it doesn’t get TOO crazy! While he can still be unsure of some new things and will need calm and re-assuring patience to continue getting used to city life, he is learning quickly and is thrilled to earn treats whenever he can. Otis is on the smaller side and would probably be fine as a lone dog but could also be introduced into just about any pack.
Black lab type dog without the crazy energy? I’m your man!!
