I’m a super attentive, high-energy fellow that is ready to learn if you’re ready to help me! I know my desire to stay busy can get a bit tiring, but it’s just because I want to figure out how to make you happy!

Racoon came in with a large group of surrenders in early February and was estimated to be just over a year old. He is a handsome fellow with the typical energy level and curiosity you’d expect from a border collie X. He really want to play and wrestle with the other dogs in the house but its taken a bit of time for them to adjust to his eagerness so introductions may take a bit of time. Racoon loves to play in the back yard and is very interested in seeing what’s in, around and through every nook, corner and doorway! Racoon is highly motivated by food and quickly learned to sit to earn his dinner. He has great eye contact and is exuberant about life and appears to have no fear of anything. I kinda wish he would just run away from the vacuum like a “normal” dog as he thinks its a GREAT thing to play with! While he likes to keep busy, he also sleeps hard when its time and can be heard snoring from the next room. Ideally Racoon would have another higher energy dog buddy at home to help keep him occupied or go into a really active home…maybe even one that wants to get him into dog sports?

Pick me! Pick me to run and play with you!
