Barney is a fun loving little fluff ball! His medical issues do not slow him down or bother him at all. He has a very sweet nature and loves to play with his foster siblings.
Barney has been in AARCS care for about a month. He has won the hearts of anyone who has met him and impressed them with his amazing attitude. He is sweet, rambunctious and full of tenacity. Barney is working hard on his potty training, and for the most part does #2 outside, he will need continuous encouragement and reinforcement to learn to pee outside. Barnabus stays in a large crate when his foster parents are away and will pee on his puppy pad inside. Barney sleeps through the night too! Barney requires a committed home with the resources and time to be able to assist him on his journey. He would do well as the only puppy, but having another dog may help him learn and encourage him to get on his back feet more frequently. A bungalow or home with few stairs would be optimal for Barney, but is not a requirement. Barney is a wonderful little dude who is just waiting to find the perfect family to love!

Does this Animal have Special Needs?
Yes, Medical Needs
Barnabus was born with a congenital defect. He has spinal problems and twisted back legs. He is making great progress in using his back legs, but will require ongoing treatment. Physiotherapy is done in a bath tub at home, and he could use professional therapy. His foster parents would be happy to show his adoptive home how to do his at home treatment. Barnabus eats raw food with a puppy multivitamin and joint supplements to help him grow big and strong.
