Marshall’s full name is Mellow Marshall the Marshmallow, and that pretty much tells you everything you need to know about his personality! Marshall was living right down by the railroad tracks in the industrial area last spring/summer. He was very skittish in the beginning. We kept feeding him and trying to make friends, but we knew with winter coming, it would be getting colder and colder, the decision was made to trap him with a humane cat trap. Little did we know at the time what a wonderful loving fellow he really was! He had been so scared while he was fending for himself that his true personality was hidden. The very first night he was rescued he was making friends with his rescuers and purring like crazy and rubbing up for pets.
Now Marshall has completely embraced a life of leisure, loving the regular meals and soft beds and a warm place to sleep. His goal is to get ALL the pets and ALL the tummy rubs and ALL the chin scratches to make up for lost time. He is still sometimes a little nervous when humans move too quickly, but his favorite place is wherever you are sitting or lying. He has endless love and endless purrs and hopes you have endless pets and scratches.
He has excellent house manners and is a very tidy cat. He is living in a foster home with a senior blind cat and two very large dogs. He is respectful of the other animals but mostly prefers to be with humans. Marshall is one of those chirpy chatty cats who loves to tell you about his thoughts and feelings!
