Brielle is a very affectionate little lady. Loves her toys, actually hoards all the toys on her bed.

Oh hi there! My name is Brielle. You haven’t seen me until now, and that’s because I was staying low for my safety. It’s hard to believe it’s been a few months already since I was rescued. Let’s go back to the beginning…Once upon a time, I was just a small little puppy, cute and cuddly and had a family of my own. Like most puppies, I was playful and sometimes made a mess – but because I sometimes made a mess and I was ‘too playful’ I was put outside and tied up so I wouldn’t run away.

This is when my nightmare began. I was still that playful puppy but I was growing up so fast and I couldn’t stop it, or get away no matter how hard I tried. Soon I was tangled up in my tether and the ones I thought were my family didn’t help me. The tether became tighter around me each and every day until I was unable to move. That’s when my rescuer found me, he cut me loose and held me in his arms and told me I was safe now, and I will be okay. Of course, at the time, I wasn’t sure if he was telling me the truth, I was very scared.

The doggie-doctors told me the tether was embedded inside my skin around my abdomen leaving large lacerations. Had I been there even one week longer, I would have succumbed to my injuries. After multiple surgeries to remove the tether and fully close my wound, I am now fully healed! Which is incredible! I can’t even believe my own two eyes! Thank you to AARCS. Before I could’t even walk or sit up on my hind legs. Now I can run and jump with the other dogs. I even like to take a dip in the river with my foster sisters. My foster mom says I’m the best little Snuggle-Buggle she’s ever had. Now I am up for adoption to find myself a new family, a family that loves and adores me. A home that will actually be my forever home. – xo Brielle

Does this Animal have Special Needs?
      Both, Medical and Behavioral

Medical: Has recovered from massive wound from a tie wire. As a result has Spondylosis – would recommend a harness for walks. Also has Colitis, and does well on Royal Canine Gastrointestinal High Energy Dry Food. Or a mix of 1/2 of this and 1/2 of a Good Puppy food.

Behavior: Needs further work on introductions with new dogs.If she is reactive with a new dog, it is often resolved by the second or third meeting. She is often scared and nervous which causes her to growl, show her teeth and snap. Although she has never bitten another dog.
