Eight Pups

Hard to believe that there are EIGHT PUPPIES huddled tightly in this pile. Truth is, they had no other choice but to stay as close as possible to one another for warmth. These babies were living out in the cold with their Mama who couldn’t always be by their side. Mama’s have to eat too!

As soon as our rescue crew were notified of this family, they rushed to their aid as temperatures were significantly low. Sadly, we were too late for two puppies, but now we have the chance to change the story of One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven and Eight! Yes, those are their names! Mama Jasper too!

Eugene is just a young kitty who was injured and then abandoned at a rural vet clinic… Although we don’t know his history or how his injury happened, we knew that he needed help and there was no one to care for him. Eugene was in need of a second chance. Once he arrived at the AARCS Veterinary Hospital, his x-rays confirmed that he needed an FHO (femoral head ostectomy) surgery and he needed it quick.

Luckily, this is a surgery that we can provide for animals like Eugene. His recovery is going well so far in his loving foster home!

Breaks our heart to see a puppy like Holler end up in our care due to horrific injuries. Reportedly he had been attacked by a wild animal which left him with severe and infected wounds on his hind legs. It’s an absolute miracle that he is still able to stand, walk and wag his little tail.

All he truly wants is to be snuggled up in your arms. We can’t even imagine the pain and suffering he has endured since the incident. By the looks of his wounds, we sense that this did not happen very recently. Our veterinary team is doing everything in their power to help relieve the pain and get him on the road to recovery.

There was a moment that we didn’t think Jackfruit was going to make it. He was so terribly sick when he arrived, he lacked an appetite and seemed painful. That’s when the foreign body was discovered and he required an emergency exploratory surgery to find and address the obstruction (a warped piece of plastic).

The days following surgery were ruff… At one point Jackfruit crashed once again which lead to another emergency surgery to address his traumatic inguinal hernia. Days turned into weeks and Jackfruit was finally improving! We’re happy to report that this little fella is currently up for adoption on our website!
