About:  Join us for the 3rd annual Vegan Pancake Breakfast! Come down for a FREE breakfast, and show Calgary that animal cruelty isn’t needed for a delicious meal and good time!

FOOD:
To be announced! We do plan to have gluten-friendly options, however we CANNOT guarantee cross-contamination won’t happen.

** Please bring your own reusable plate, cutlery + coffee mug if you are able to! We will have compostable options otherwise, but are trying to reduce our eco-footprint as much as possible. **

SPONSORS: A HUGE thank you to our sponsors — we couldn’t do this without you. Our main sponsors are:
Community Natural Foods (providing food!)
Sorrenti’s Catering (providing BBQs + equipment)

Additional sponsors:
Baked From the Heart
The Grinning Goat
Animal Alliance of Canada

This is a FREE, volunteer-run event. If you are able to spare a dollar or two, please help us by donating here: https://www.gofundme.com/2019-calgaryvegan-pancake-breakfast

Have a business and want to sponsor? Please email hello@calgaryvegan.com for our sponsor package.

SEATING: We’ll have a limited amount of chairs, but there’s lots of grassy spots to sit on. Bring a picnic blanket if you like!

LOCATION: Bridgeland Riverside Community Association is located at 917 Centre Ave NE. It is wheelchair-accessible, and has a great playground! Street parking is available, however we HIGHLY encourage taking advantage of the Bridgeland/Memorial c-train station (2 blocks or 450m away) if possible.

PETS: Pets are not allowed in the food line or immediate vicinity (due to Alberta Health restrictions). If bringing a pet, please plan to have a friend go through the pancake line for you, and wait in the grassy area.

SAFE SPACE POLICY: Everyone is welcome to attend, and we want you to feel safe! CalgaryVegan is dedicated to providing a harassment-free space for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ability, race, age, religion, etc. CalgaryVegan also very much values consent, including when it comes to showing graphic imagery. Anyone violating this will be asked to leave the event.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT: This event takes place on the
traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta. The City of Calgary is also home to Metis Nation of Alberta, Region III.

RODEO STATEMENT: This event + its creators do not support any type of exploitation of animals, including rodeo. We hope to one day soon see a Calgary Stampede that provides a fun and safe environment free from animal exploitation.
